Zero Tillage

Zero tillage, or no-till farming, is a conservation practice where a new crop is planted directly into the residue of the previous crop without prior soil tillage. Weed control is typically managed with herbicides.

Zinc Deficiency

Zinc deficiency in plants appears a few weeks after sowing and is characterized by the blanching of the midrib of emerging leaves, brown spots on older leaves, and stunted growth. It is often found in calcareous, alkali, peat, and volcanic soils, especially where high nitrogen and phosphorus levels are present.
